Positioned in the heart of Montreux, the campus is a 3-minute walk from Lake Geneva and the train station, providing easy access to a variety of activities. An hour from Geneva airport allows for easy travel to European hotspots at the weekends.
With 3 buildings within walking distance, Hotel Europe, Leman Residence and Hotel Miramonte provide high-quality surroundings. Hotel Europe hosts the main classrooms and most of the faculty offices. Final year Bachelor and Master students will be based in the Miramonte building, with a more business-orientated environment.
Full board is provided throughout the week and is included in the fees. Three meals are served from Monday to Friday with brunch and dinner on weekends. Students have the choice of eating in any of the food outlets on campus:
The French training restaurant serves traditional French and Swiss food from an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. As a student, you will apply food and beverage theory and gain service skills in this restaurant.
This cafeteria with Hotel Europe serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This cafeteria within Hotel Miramonte serves a variety of international food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Coffee Beans Lounge Bar
Outside of meal times, and run by student in-house trainees, students can purchase a coffee, snacks or warm dishes from early morning until late in the evening.
During the summer months, enjoy your meals on the terrace of Hotel Europe or Hotel Miramonte, overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. Perfect for sunset watching!
Accommodation options are available in all of our campus buildings, depending on your year of study. All accommodation is modern, comfortable and spacious to enable students to feel at home.

Bed Linen and Towels
Bed linen and towels are provided for all room categories. Towels are changed once a week by the housekeeping department. Bed linen is changed every two weeks or upon request.
The housekeeping department cleans rooms weekly.
A luggage room is available in the school for students to store their luggage during the internship period if required.

"I chose to study hospitality management because I like the balance between the logistic of business management and the creativity and warmness of being a great host. So far I do not regret one bit of my choice.
At Hotel Institute Montreux, I developed organizational and time management skills. Having good organizational and time management skills is essential. I have learned that the more organized you are, the more you know how to manage priorities, the less stressed you will be and the more efficient your work will remain. Plus, it will be easier for you to handle unexpected situations that may come in your way.
After graduation, I returned to Canada and took a few months to get back to reality, spend some time with family and friends before starting to look for a job in my hometown to gain some experience within the North American market.
It took longer than expected so I enrolled in a few master classes in wine tasting and Spanish. I then found a job as Sales Coordinator at the Omni Mont-Royal. I was lucky enough to find a job that I wanted in not only a great hotel chain allowing each of its employees to evolve but also within an amazing team. The highlight of my career so far is when they had enough faith in my competences to promote me to a managerial position within a couple of months.
I am now managing the prospection of new customers, the sales of function space for corporate meetings or banquet rooms for special events. I apply upselling techniques to maximize profits along with guest satisfaction, I assist clients from the initial request until the billing point and I develop and maintain good customer relationships. I also participate in sales training and meetings, as well as marketing projects.
The minute I have started to study hospitality management, I knew I was in the right place and I haven’t been proven wrong so far!"
